FTP/SFTP access is typically preferable because it makes it simpler to upload and download files. But you can also use your cPanel account to examine and control them.
Step 1: Open the File Manager Application
First, open the File Manager application.
Step 2: View Your Files
You can see a directory of all your files:
- To open a folder, simply double click on it.
- To delete a folder or file, first select it and then click the Delete button in the top center of the page. You can also right click and select delete.
- To navigate from within a file or folder, use the Up, Back and Forward buttons.
- A file will download to your computer if you double click on it. Once you've clicked the file, select Edit in the top right corner of the page to edit, it without downloading and uploading it again. The edit option is also available when you right-click the file.
- Make sure you are in the directory where you want to upload the file before you begin. After that, press the Upload button. A different page will open so you can choose the file you want to upload. Your new file will replace an existing file if the box labelled Overwrite Existing Files is checked.
